Can I email myself a link from a library database? Why is my database link in Canvas broken?

Here's the deal: copy-pasting a database link from the URL bar just gets you a broken link. Why? You're copy-pasting a temporary URL.

What you want is the durable, permanent, stable link that takes you back to the article, ebook, or video you need later.

That permanent stable link is called a Permalink. Most database articles, videos, and e/books have a Permalink.

Emailing yourself articles or books or videos from inside a database usually includes the Permalink (and citation information) for each source.
